About This Item

New York: Times Books/Random House, 1985. This Stated First Edition (and unless it's stated, it's not) also has the appropriate "number line" that combined with "First Edition" indicates a First Printing from this particular publisher. The book includes more than 1,000 entries by Claiborne, as well as 300 illustrations. The book is bound in blue-gray boards with a burgundy spine cloth and gilt titles. The boards have several marks and the top corners are lightly bumped. There is a publisher's remainder stamp on the bottom page edge. The interior itself doesn't show any evidence of having been read. The pages are clean and bright, with no stains, tears, signatures, etc. I've placed the unclipped dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. The book measures 7 3/4 by 9 1/2 inches and includes 496 pages.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
