Sampson Lowe, Marston, Searle & Rivington, London., 1887. Fourth edition. Octavo. pp viii, 366. Thirteen plates; two extending maps. Period binding of full red leather with raised bands, blind rules, inner dentelles gilt, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. An account of a five-month cruise up the rivers Parana and Paraguay, and of a ride across the Pampas to Tucuman.On the front pastedown is a prize label, dated July 1891, of Wells Cathedral Grammar School. A bit of spotting here and there but mostly to the tissue guard of the frontispiece and from there onto the title-page. Some faint rubbing to spine. Very good indeed.
