E. Repin. Influenced by Impressionism during a stay in Paris, Shibnev's distinctive style crystallized with his notable thesis "Hot" ("Bathing Boys") in 1910. Shibnev spent much of his career in Kerch, producing evocative landscapes and contributing to local cultural life by organizing exhibitions and teaching. His pivotal role in establishing an art gallery at the Kerch Museum in 1922 marked a significant period until his death in 1930. Shibnev's artistic legacy, celebrated posthumously at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1936, continues to resonate, with works preserved at the Kerch State Historical and Cultural Reserve, highlighting his enduring impact on Russian art.
