New York: Downtown Athletic Club, 1976. Signed by Tony Dorsett with a full color photo of him from the Heisman ceremony laid-in. Fine condition. SEE PHOTOS. Pages are clean and unmarked. This is the program for the 42nd Annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Award, December 1976. The award was presented to the University of Pittsburgh's Tony Dorsett, chosen as the outstanding college football player in the United States for 1976. This program has 90 pages, and includes several excellent articles - on Dorsett, on John W. Heisman; how the Heisman candidates finished in the balloting over the years (top 14 places, 1935-1975), a photo gallery of all the previous winners, etc. Bound in the original full color pictorial wraps, with a photo of Tony Dorsett on the front cover. Tony Dorsett has signed his name in blue ink on the front cover. Laid-in is a full color 8" by 10" photo of Tony Dorsett receiving the Heisman Trophy from Ronald Cobleigh, President of the Downtown Athletic Club - sponsor of the Heisman Memorial Trophy. This copy is from the collection of Ronald Cobleigh. Above his signature on the front cover, Dorsett has inscribed: "To Ron [Cobleigh], Thank You for Everything. God Bless You." SEE PHOTOS. Also signing this program is UCLA quarterback, and the 1967 Heisman Trophy winner, Gary Beban.. Signed by Tony Dorsett. First Edition. Softcover (stapled wraps).
