Franklin Library, 1999. Limited First Edition. Full Leather. Near Fine/No Jacket as Issued. A handsome brown leather Limited First Edition signed by the author. One of only 1,000 limited signed copies. With gold gilt cover designs and page edges, patterned endpapers and bound-in silk bookmark. In Very Fine condition but for two light lines on the page edges not affecting the gilt. Includes the publisher's notecard about the author and the book from the Franklin Library. The "dark lady" is Assistant County Prosecutor, Stella Marz, who has earned a reputation for puttying away the denizens of her town's underbelly. She has other high stakes in this thriller by the author of "No Safe Place," "Silent Witness," and many more. 371 pp. A nice copy of an interesting book.

Synopsis

Richard North Patterson studied fiction writing with Jesse Hill Ford at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has written ten novels, including the international bestsellers Degree of Guilt, Eyes of a Child, The Final Judgment, Silent Witness, and No Safe Place. Patterson lives with his wife, Laurie, and their family in San Francisco and on Martha's Vineyard.
