London: Jonathan Cape, 1948. Hardcover. 270p., illustrated with a half-dozen original line maps, the first edition in 8x5.5 inch red cloth boards lettered in silverfoil. Top edge tinted red, a nice production, lacking the jacket. Slightest edgewear to casing, remains bright and sound, completely clean and unmarked, a very good copy.
