John Camden Hotten, 1865. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1865. First Edition. 266 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering and decorations. Contains black and white illustrations and plates. Severe cracking to gutters causing pages and plates to be loose or detached. Pages are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Newspaper clippings to front endpaper and pastedown. Small bookseller sticker to rear pastedown. Rough-cut edges with small tears and creases. Faint thumb-marking to pages on occasion. Plates are noticeably tanned and foxed. Boards have moderate edge wear with corner bumping. Visible tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Noticeable splits to joints, corners, and spine edges with loss and fraying. Lettering to spine is darkened. Visible black marks with scratches overall. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
