About This Item

Secker & Warburg, London, 1999. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. The correct first edition (first printing) - this Biddles printing preceding the vastly more common Clays printing. 8vo. 219pp. Black boards lettered in gold at the spine and with maroon endpapers. A tiny bump to the tip of one corner, a touch of bruising to the backstrip ends and a small area of very light moisture marking to a single text leaf. A very crisp copy in the correct first state dust wrapper (with no Booker Prize strap), non-price-clipped but very lightly creased at the upper edge. Winner of the 1999 Booker Prize, the author's second win, following his 1983 victory for 'Life & Times of Michael K'..
