Title continues: "Della Medesima Ritrovato: Dissertazioni Due" The second dissertation is "Dissertazione sopra un'antico oriuolo a solo", pp. [61]-86. Among the objects found in an excavated villa in the city of Tusculum in the Alban Hills was an early "sun clock"; see Grässe, vol. 6 p. 522; Houzeau & Lancaster, Astronomie (1964 ed.) 11633; Riccardi, P. Bib. matematica, vol. 2 column 676; Backer-Sommervogel, vol. 8, col. 1543. Bound with this is another study by the Jesuit Zuzzeri, Sopra Una Medaglia Di Attalo Filadelfo E Sopra Una Parimente. Venezia: Appresso Modesto Fenzo, 1747. 31, [1] p., engraved facsimile of coin. This concerns a coin depicting Attalus II, King of Pergamum, 220 B.C.-130 B.C. First article in Italian; second in French with Italian translation in parallel columns. Cicognara V M 10 (11); 3088. Both books are rare: WorldCat lists only four of the first (two in the US: Brown & Harvard) and only two of the second, both in the UK.
