For six crucial weeks in the summer of 1940, the eyes of the world were on London and southeastern England where the fate of Britain hung in the balance as a few hundred RAF pilots and aircraft [many which were obsolete] struggled against staggering odds. A month later, on September 15, Nazi planes attacked in their greatest strength but were met with resistance that was to become legendary. . New Edition. Hardback.
