About This Item

London : Mills & Boon, 1965. First edition. Hardback. Fine/Near Fine. 10" by 7.5". Not Stated. A lovely first edition copy of this history of W. Lucy and Company, with a typed letter from the company and many illustrations. A first edition copy of this work. This volume is the history of W. Lucy & Co, which is an important electrical engineering business that is still running today. Their story is of particular interest with its history going back to 1760 when its principle buisness was manufacturing metal castings. The volume is richly illustrated throughout. With twenty-six plates and four colour illustrations. With a typed letter from W. Lucy & Co to a Yvonne Ball, gifting her the book in the hopes it will be of interest, dated 19th July, 1965. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. In the publisher's original hardback binding. Externally, very smart. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original unclipped dust wrapper which is also very smart with some light fading to the spine. Fine
