About This Item
London: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd, 1937. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good Only. 7.5" by 5". None. A very scarce first edition of this thrilling novel from Brock Williams, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. Very scarce work. An exciting novel following two Chicago bootleggers. Robert Kilmount finds out he has inherited land and a title in England after his uncle, the Earl of Gorley, passes away. At the same time Quentin Ramsey is released from prison after serving his time for a crime that Kilmount framed him for. Written by Brock Williams, a prolific English screenwriter, novelist, and director. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the board. Original unclipped dust wrapper is worn with chipping resulting in loss to the head and tail of the spine and the front board. Creases to the boards and the odd closed tear. A 5" closed tear to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers. Very Good
