About This Item
Preston: Akros Publications, 1968. MacDiarmid (the pseudonym of Christopher Morray Grieve, 1892-1978), an important modernist poet, a Scottish nationalist, and a communist who also flirted a bit with fascism. Quercus posits him as a good poet and an interesting eccentric of the Celtic persuasion. Here is a lovely little softcover booklet, lime green paper covers; LIMITED to 350 copies. In addition to the poetry, there is an appreciation by MacDiarmid. Edited, with an Introduction, by J.K. Annand. Clean text; 28 pages. The dustwrapper is also paper, and is integral to the covers, which are sewn. It has a portrait of the poet on its cover, and shows a bit of sun fade. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Limited.. Soft Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
