Book is an ingenious work which teaches how to become proficient in the reading, writing, understanding and even syntax and grammar of the beautiful ancient Egyptian language. Work is filled with lessons and exercises to help facilitate mastery. "While the work is in fact an elaborate treatise on Egyptian syntax at the best period, the form is that of a progressive teaching book for beginners. The present third edition contains a much extended Additions and Corrections, as well as substantial improvements elsewhere."
