Brown cloth, boards blindstamped, titled in gilt on spine; yellow endpapers; vi, [2], [7]-238pp; steel mezzotint frontispiece portrait by A. H. Ritchie. A straight, fresh copy with loss to headcap, gilt dulled, some discoloration to fore-edge, but largely clean: Very Good or better. A work on American government as "an ordinance of God," with a chapter on the "Liquor Traffick" and temperance (217).
