Dorking: Adhard & Son, 1945. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. A very good short run of this important entomological journal including a signed typed letter from N. D. Riley on British Museum (Natural History) headed paper dated 6th May 1954. "Dear Barlow, You are not the only one who is worried about the poor old Entomologist. I am very worried myseufl, for I feel rather as if I have let the side down....I am trying to make arrangements so that the situation will be improved. I fear Leston seems rather to have lost interest." Another general letter, on The Entomologist headed paper dayed May 1954 is enclosed. "We have pleasure in announcing that Mr. N. d. Riley has now returned as Editor of the Entomologist....signed John S. Ledley." Black and white plates and other illustrations. 9 volumes bound in 7, vols 78-86, 1945-1953, variously bound, in red cloth, half or full red leather, generally very good with a little general wear and rubbing to extremities. Contents good and tight, original wrappers and adverts bound in at the rear of some volumes. A very good short run with two associated original letters..
