But very few remember William Willis and his similar voyage seven years later on the raft The Seven Little Sisters. The difference was Wallis made his trip single handed, except for a parrot and a cat, sailed over 2,000 miles further, reaching American Samoa, and at the time of the voyage Willis was 61 years old. .
