About This Item

Textured white cloth with upper board lettering gilt and a decorative Christmas wreath, octavo, pp. [2] blank, 112, [2] blank. Short contemporary gift inscription, "To Will from Sister," in black fountain pen on free front endpaper. Some soiling on boards shows more obviously than if publisher had chosen a darker color. Moderate foxing internally. Uncommon in trade or library holdings, with a March 2020 OCLC search returning University of Georgia and Ohio State only. Author was a native of Marietta, GA, and wrote at least once under the pen name Faith Mills. See SMITH, American Fiction, 1901-1925, A Bibliography, P-185.
