Synopsis: When Andrea Barclay, a young widow, goes to Paris she meeets and falls in love with Christopher Laroque, a member of the French government. She does it in her usual impulsive way: immediately. Just more than a year earlier, however, she had met and fallen in love with handsome and charming Ross Miller: she met him one night and married him the next day. Ross had promised Andrea, her aunt and her mother that he would love and take care of her always but there were things in the life of the man she had married that brought in their wake tragedy, scandal and fear. Christopher loves Andrea, but she is afraid of her past.
