About This Item
The first two sentences in the story are: "Fanny Silvester was an only child. She lived with her parents in a large city, and had scarcely seen anything of the country."
Good condition. Blue cloth over boards cover with dark red text and bird in flowering tree graphic on front, no text on spine, and bird design on back. Covers are soiled and have some wear on spine, edges, and corners. Front hinge has a hole about in the middle. There is discoloration on end papers. Some tanning, discoloration, soiling, and spotting on the pages, but the text is clean. Binding is good. Several black illustrations and a color plate in front. A nice reading copy for its age.
72 pages.
