About This Item
FANTASY COMMENTATOR was primarily devoted to articles dealing with various aspects of Fantasy and Science Fiction, rather than fans submitting their fictions, or fan squabbles. In this early issue, Sam Moskowitz has not yet begun his serialization of his Fanzine History, THE IMMORTAL STORM, and there is no A. Langly Searles column, FORGOTTEN CREATORS OF GHOSTS. This issue contains an informative bio/checklist of H. Rider Haggard; a biography of Ignatius Donnelly, think Atlantis, and William H. Evans biblio of THE BLUE BOOK. And, the COMPLETE POEMS of EDGAR ALLEN POE is reviewed. Sam Moskowitz continued FANTASY COMMENTATOR well into the 1980's. This copy has a yellow title-page. A very good copy.
