Blue/Grey cloth boards with gilt to face and spine. Spine and edges a little age toned. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs. Six fold-out maps to text. Three folded maps to rear pocket. 250 pages The 5th Highland Light Infantry was originally known as the 19th Lanark Rifle Volunteers raised in 1859. In 1880 it became 5th Lanark Volunteers. It was renamed 1st Volunteer Battalion Highland Light Infantry in 1887. On the formation of the Territorial Force in 1909 it became The 5th Battalion Highland Light Infantry and this book deals with its record of service in World War One. . 1st Edition. Hardback.
