London: Macmillan & Co. Second Edition stated at head of title page. No Date, OCLC dates the Second London edition 1882. Near Fine, the faintest of wear at the joints. Finely bound by Bayntun of Bath in full Christmas green morocco, red morocco labels and gilt back, marbled end papers, all edges gilt, the initials "E. C-Y." stamped in gilt center of front cover. Bound with original cloth covers and spine at rear. [i]xiv, [2], 165 [1] pages. 8 unnumbered leaves of plates. Half-title reads: "Christmas." Monochrome wood-engraved illustrated title page; wood-engraved frontispiece, with protective interleaf. Printer's imprint on p.[166]. Publisher's device on half-title verso. The green cloth original binding at end comports with the 1st ed. binding - Green cloth case edition binding; panel stamp in gold on upper cover incorporating title and author; spine with title, author, publisher and ornament in gold. A quite handsome gift-quality copy of this Christmas classic. . Second Edition. Morocco. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
