Blue and green decorated boards, natural linen back, paper spine label. Front endpapers with slight offsetting and just a bit of spotting, else a very fine copy. Short historical/biographical sketches of various Bay Area private presses and private press people, with their printing devices printed in red. Includes The Allen Press, The Nova Press, The Archetype Press, Mallette Dean, The Peregrine Press, Herbert and Peter Fahey, Helen Gentry, The Grabhorn Press, The Colt and Jumbo Presses, Johnck and Seeger, The Windsor Press, and many others. The Argonaut Book Shop was founded in 1941 in the middle of the financial district of San Francisco. The Argonaut was a founding member of the Antiquarian Booksellers\' Association of America and has been a member in good standing ever since. The Shop is now located just three blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco and is open six days a week. Parking facilities include ample street space and a parking garage close by.
