Sfep reads: This special edition of THE FIRST GENTLEMAN OF AMERICA is limited to 125 copies, signed by the author, of which 99 are for sale. This is number (number 61 is hand-written in). Then, signed by Cabell. Pages: Clean, ivory, tight, t.e.g., eps light green, f.e. deckled, a.e. lt tanned, eps lt toned. Cover: Black full leather, gilt artwork front, gilt titles spine. A very nice copy. We have an extensive Cabell collection.

Fine-AN, but not as bright, minor marks or other minor defects. Very Good (VG)-small to modest tears, chips, marks, cocked etc. Good (G)-not so much, with larger tears or chips, possibly soiled, cocked, etc. Fair-ugly, with pages or large areas of DJ missing or other major defects. Poor(P)-truly ugly, disbound or requiring other major rehabilitation. We stabilize most minor defects with archival quality materials, and with few exceptions, these stabilizations are reversible
