Two works bound together; the first by La Placette and the second by Thomas Smith; pp. [14], 349, [1]; engraved frontispiece plate; title page printed in red and black with engraved vignette. Contemporary or near contemporary full vellum, with later manuscript label to the spine, very good with light wear only. Fine engraved BIBLIOTHECA ORPHANOTROPHEI HALENSIS bookplate to the front paste-down. Second work dated 1686 to TP with separate leaf - "Imprimatur C. Alton R. P. D. Hen. Episc. Lond a Sacris Domesticis Octob. 14. 1685.; pub.: Impensis Sam. Smith, Londini; pp. [12],198. Both works very good, slight spotting to page edges otherwise unmarked. A very good copy.
