About This Item
Investigative journalist Colvin turns his attention to the mysterious death of Leslie Howard whose civilian flight was shot down over the Bay of Biscay in June 1943. The common belief was that the attackers thought Churchill was on board and thus targeted the plane. Another theory, though, is that film star Howard was the intended target: was he, wonders Colvin, in fact a secret agent? The author looks at a number of mysteries surrounding the fatal incident.
A nice copy. Pages are clean and unmarked. Cloth boards are largely tight with the smallest give. DJ is pretty much complete but with some few small missing segments in various spots and wear to the extremities as well as general rubbing at the back. Overall a nice copy though. Now covered in a professional clear cover. 212 pp with B&W photos, index
