About This Item
Moylan, Pa.: The Rose Valley Press, 1965. This charming Christmas story is bound in blue paper covers with an ivory ribbon and a small cover illustration of a holly bough and a candle. This is one of several Christmas booklets produced by Walter Kahoe (with occasional assistance from his wife Mildred) under his Rose Valley Press imprint. After moving to Philadelphia in 1940 and joining the medical department of J.B. Lippincott Co., Kahoe began The Rose Valley Press, printing and binding several hundred little books as Christmas presents. The press did non-Christmas books as time permitted. There is no author listed for this little book, which describes the traditional uses of greenery to decorate homes at Christmastime. Book is in very good condition with very faint fading at cover edges, and would make a charming gift. Small color illustrations appear throughout. Book is about 4"x5". Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Illustrated.
