Despite its unsavory history, the Franco-Texan Land Company furthered the development of Northwest Texas by bringing into the area by hundreds of French immigrants. The impact of the French on the Texas frontier and the lives of some of the more prominent immigrants are intertwined with the history of the company. Bound in beige cloth, spine lettered and decorated in black and gilt. near fine copy in very good clipped pictorial dust jacket with light chipping along the edges of the rear panel and some rubbing.
