About This Item

London: Herbert Jenkins , 1965 . First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 8" by 5". None. The first edition of one of P. G. Wodehouse's entertaining novels set at the fictional Blanding's Castle. First edition, in the publisher's original red cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.Written by popular English author P. G. Wodehouse, who was best known for his humorous approach to writing, and for the creation of Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves.'Galahad at Blandings' is the ninth novel in Wodehouse's saga set at the fictional Blandings Castle. The novel was published in the U.S. as 'The Brinkmanship of Galahad Threepwood'. In this novel Lord Emsworth is beset as usual by many woes, with a house overrun with sisters, secretaries, and an alleged old flame. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear and one small mark to the head of the rear board. Dust wrapper is also very smart, with light edge wear and the odd mark. Slight sunning to the spine of the wrap. Protective plastic adhered to the front of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Near Fine
