Wear and rubbing to the edges of both volumes' boards and bumping to the heads and heels of the spines. The front cover of the dj of volume I is just barley attached to the rest of the dj and has been heavily repaired with tape on its backside. The dj of volume II has large chip missing from the lower edge of the front cover (2 inches tall and about 4 inches wide) and has also been extensively repaired with tape on its underside. Both volume shave bookplates on their front pastedown endpapers. There is also some light browning to the pages. A little bit of loosness to the lower edge of the binding on volume I. 640 total pages with illustrations and footnotes.
