Pages & photos remain bright with minimal tanning. Pen inscription to front pastedown. Boards have light edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and spine is presentable with minimal crushing and tanning. Clipped jacket. Jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears, and creasing.

The Medici Society, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 100 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Black and white photographs and colour illustrations throughout. Slight cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting, pages slightly loose. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

Illustrated with many photographs that are reproduced from photos supplied by Alinari Brothers and Anderson. Bound in original dark burgundy cloth, with gilt lettering to spine and front cover. Exterior admits to general light to medium wear, with a little heavier wear in places, at extremities. Gilt lettering just a little rubbed, though perfectly legible. Hinges are cracked, though all leaves remain in place. There is a light stain to the bottom of pages, though text and illustrations are not effected. This volume remains a good working copy and still a fairly attractive one, too

New York: Brentano's, 1926. This is a very good hardcover copy of the 1926 edition, not the later reprint. Very clean inside and out. Endpapers and text pages just slightly toned. A previous owner name on the front endpaper, dated 1926. No title label on spine. Front cover color plate a bit scuffed around the edges. Beautiful color plates of water colors by Pierre Vignal printed on heavy stock with tissue guards. Many Alinari photographs from the 19th century of famous Roman gardens and statuary. 13" high X 10" wide, 100 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and sent with tracking. . Hard Cover. Very Good.

Fair Lawn, New Jersey: Essential Books, 1960. 8vo.  220 x 170 mm., [9 8 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches].  200 pp.  Illustrated a map of Rome and 168 heligravure images in black and white.  Bound in original gray cloth, decorative dust jacket by Yves Brayer.  Dust jacket shows minor wear to edges and at head and tail of spine, otherwise a very good copy. Well illustrated travel book to Rome, published in 1960 when the City was in recovery mode from the impact of the War.  The focus is on the gardens, fountains, architecture, and ornamentation that distinguishes this city as "Eternal" and offers the traveler a guide to its monuments.  Very nicely printed and produced book  and the black and white heligravures are particularly effective in showing off Rome during its revitilazion. .
