About This Item
Berlin: By the Author, 1978. Book. Very Good. Paperback. Signed by Author(s). First Edition. 230 pages. Covers very good with minimal wear. Contents clean and tight. A very good copy. Inscribed by the author to the title page - "Dear Prof. Willmore......sincerely Heinz Wolfgang" (This book was from the library of the late Thomas James Willmore; a renowned English geometer who held the post of professor of pure mathematics at Durham University from 1965 to his retirement in 1984. Two prominent themes in Willmore's mathematics are the study of harmonic spaces and what has been known for decades as the "Willmore conjecture", which still remains unsolved).
