Random House, 1957. Hardcover. Very Good. 8x5x1. Lee Ames. Hardback Book is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages. Inside text appears to have had little use. There is a "Discarded" stamp on the fist and last end page and inside the back cover. NO other markings or writing in the book. There are no markings or signs that this was a library book. There are a few minor bent bottom page corners, but this appears to have happened in shipment not from reading. Outside Cloth Cover show some some minor soiling and wear to include some corner wear. But, overall this is a nice book. No Dust Jacket. Book has come from a private collection. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
