New York: Fahim Kouchakji, 1933. Folio size hardcover; 22 glossy pages with black and white photographs and one color plate. From page 5: "The Great Chalice of Antioch is named from the Syrian city amid whose ruins it was found. Antioch on the Orontes was founded in 300 BC by Sleucus I, the founder of the Seleucid Empire. His son Antiochus I made it the capital of the greatest of states which followed Alexander the Great..." Ex-library book with labels and markings including bookplate inside front cover. Front end page, which was a blank page, has been torn out. Pencilled price on title page. Two small pencilled check marks on page 5, several pages have spots of soil in the margin. Cover has label on spine, fraying to spine and corners and soil on cover. Title is hand written on spine. The name in the bookplate from the Episcopal Theological School of Cambridge is Canon A.P. Stokes. Extra handling time is required to make a custom box for this oversize book. Extra shipping may apply.
