Good condition. Covers are tan and show some stains and a little corner wear. Both front and back end papers have two-color maps. Some corner wear. Top of closed book pages have light pen marks and light stains. Back inside cover has previous owner's name in ink. Pages 17-26 have a small stain at the bottom of the pages. Pages appear to be lightly age tanned. Otherwise clean and tight. A good reading copy.

Synopsis
Bruce Catton was a journalist and historian of the American Civil War. He won a Pulitzer Prize for history in 1954 for A Stillness at Appomattox , his study of the final campaign of the war in Virginia. He died in 1978.
