Helden präsentiert Skulpturen von Herrschern und anderen prägenden Persönlichkeiten aus mehr als acht Jahrhunderten und räumt mit zahlreichen falschen Vorstellungen auf, die – gerade in Europa – über die afrikanische Kunst grassieren. Zum Beispiel mit der, Naturalismus sei eine exklusiv europäische Erfindung gewesen. Die Skulpturen aus Terrakotta, Holz und Elfenbein stammen aus acht Regionen in West- und Zentralafrika und datieren vom 12. bis ins frühe 20. Jahrhundert. Sie sind das materielle Vermächtnis längst vergangener, vorkolonialer Zeiten. Und sie begeistern durch die Motivik, durch stilistische Vorzüge wie durch ihre Vielfalt. Zudem bieten die Kunstwerke Gelegenheit, mehr über wichtige historische Persönlichkeiten zu erfahren, und ermöglichen Einsichten in die verborgenen Bedeutungen, die hinter diesen grossartigen Skulpturen stehen. 010

Invoices are to be paid within 15 days. For first orders we reserve delivery after payment in advance. In case of delay of payment, the second reminder is charged at an extra cost of CHF 10.00. Also, other additional costs are charged to the customer.
Sales return
In the event of a well-founded claim, the merchandise can be returned upon consultation within 14 days. If the claim turns out to be unsubstantiated, or the damage is the result from improper handling by the customer etc., all the costs are charged to the customer. Returns are only accepted with the invoice enclosed. Damages during shipment have to be notified within 48 hours. Otherwise the refund expires. Return upon dissatisfaction is excluded.
Place of venue
We are subject only to Swiss law. Place of venue is Zurich.
