Original publisher's red cloth with blind-stamped pictorial design on upper cover. Publisher's embossed 'with compliments' stamp on title page. Ownership signature of Edward Clodd (1840 1930) English banker, writer and anthropologist who was an early follower of Charles Darwin. Tipped in leaflet entitled 'Six Lectures on Heredity by Professor Frederick Mott. 1911. To Be Delivered on the following days at three o'clock. Tuesday, January 17, 724, 31. Tuesday, February 7, 14, 21'. A study on heredity and genetics. Sir John Arthur Thomson (1861 1933), Professor of Natural History at the University of Aberdeen, was a follower of August Weismann.
