A Paris: Chez Jean Baptiste Coignard. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1688. Presumed 1st. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; Heavy speckled sheep leather- original or at least contemporary. Chapter [book] headings contain engraved illustrationg. Engraved title pages. Elaboarte tail pieces. Contents clean and crisp. Bindings solid with hinges and gutters intact. This is the earliest copy found. This sold for 2300 Euros in 2011. Three considerably later edtions also turned up at auction. By any account this is a dcarce set. 12 books [chapters], in two volumes. Near Fine condition.
