Two very tiny bumps to bottom of front board edge, no fraying or wear-through at all on this book. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages are clean with clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Well-illustrated with glossy black & white photographs (65 illustrations of the mountains and their climbers). 240 pages with index. Jacket is not price clipped, has slight edge wear and a few light scratches; jacket design is "The Ascent of Mont Blanc: TheGlacier Du Tacconay," from a lithograph by George Baxter, 1856.
