This copy is inscribed by the editor on a prefatory blank leaf. The definitive account of the formative years of newspaper publishing in California. Octavo: 398 p. with a frontispiece portrait and two textual photographs. Original brown cloth binding, with a printed paper spine label. The dust jacket is a bit toned; else very good or better.
