Venice, CA: Capricorn Productions, 1975. Treatment script for an unproduced film. With an annotation in manuscript ink on the front wrapper noting the title of the script, and another on the first page of text, noting an editorial revision.
The jazz-loving navigator of a small Japanese submarine finds himself accidentally stranded in a small American town in 1944, and must convince the wary townspeople that he is Chinese in order to avoid persecution.
Set in the American Midwest.
Blue untitled wrappers. Title page present, dated 1975, with credit for screenwriter Joe Ravetz. 20 leaves, with last page of text numbered 19. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads.
