The dust jacket is "clipped" at each edge but the price of $2.50 is still clearly visible. Stated first edition, preceded by the UK edition by Lovat Dickson in 1936. More known for her murder mysteries written under the pseudoym Ellis Peters this is Pargeter's first book. Sharp copy.
