SIGNED, dated, and inscribed by the noted author to "Art La Vove, with the admiration and warm regard of Beirne Lay Jr. " La Vove, a Hollywood screenwriter and an aviation writer, authored a book on "hump drivers, " pilots in World War II who transported people and goods across the terrain between Assam, India, and China in World War II. His bookplate is affixed to front pastedown page. Book is crisp and clean, with tight binding, sharp corners and light overall wear.
