Light wear at head and heel of spine and corners of boards, a few spots on top edge; erased pencil marks very faintly visible on a few pages, pinkish erasure smudge in margin of one page only, and scattered proofreader's marks in pencil, retained as possibly useful, although most are spelling, grammar, or typographical errors, and are easily erasable in any case. No jacket, probably as issued.
