About This Item

Shannon, Ireland: Irish University Press, 1968. This is from the dustwrapper: " The Irish at Bunker Hill" is an important contribution to the literature of both the American Revolution and Irish-American genealogy. For over sixty years, Michael J O'Brien was dedicated to the cause of proving the importance of the Irish in colonial and revolutionary America. This posthumous book, edited by Catherine R Sullivan from O'Brien's, original manuscript, contains a detailed introduction by A M Sullivan, historiographer of the American-Irish Historical Society." Illustrated endpapers, frontispiece plus one further plate. Green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine in illustrated dustwrapper.231 pages, 6 X 9.75 inches. A good book a bit bumped at the spine ends in a good dustwrapper with some edge wear and cellophane peeling here and there.. First Edition.
