New York: Meredith. Very Good+ in Good+ dust jacket. 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Book is clean and tight, looks as if it is unread. Soiled spot on foredge. There is shelf wear to tips of corners and the top and bottom of spine have been bumped. Dust jacket is worn all along the top edge with a chip at the spine, just a little wear at corners and spine on the bottom. Elizabeth Peters is a pseudonym for Barbara Mertz. This title is the first written using the Peters name (named for her two children - Elizabeth and Peter) and is prior to the Amelia Peabody series, both using an Egyptian locale. .
