First edition of this richly illustrated catalog of the first major international exhibition of Impressionists artists in Hungary in 1910.

The progressive exhibition hall in Budapest, "Müvészház" opened in 1909 December, with the aim to represent the art of the younger generation, and the international modern tendencies in Hungary. The first major show was the exhibition of Impressionist artist, which was accompanied the present illustrated guide. All 150 exhibited pieces, among them almost 50 paintings by international, French and Japanese artists, were lent by Hungarian collectors. 32 of them are reproduced in this catalog, among them works by Gauguin, Picasso, Cézanne, Manet, Van Gogh, Monet, Matisse, Sisley, Károly Kernstock, Mihály Munkácsy, József Rippl-Rónai, Béla Iványi-Grünwald.

The brochure also contains three essays (two about the French and Hungarian Impressionist paintings by the Hungarian art historians Béla Lázár and Károly Lyka, and one about the Japanese Impressionism by Miklós Rózsa); the introduction of three major Hungarian art collectors (Béla Jánossy, Adolf Kohner and Marcell Nemes); and the list of the 150 exhibited pieces.
