About This Item
From Wikipedia: "King Leopold's Soliloquy is a 1905 pamphlet by American author Mark Twain. Its subject is King Leopold's rule over the Congo Free State. A work of political satire harshly condemnatory of his actions, it ostensibly recounts a fictional monologue of Leopold II speaking in his own defense."
There are a few black & white illustrations and a few black & white photographs. Stated Second Edition.
Fair condition overall for a paperback book published in 1905. Cover is in poor condition - there is some soiling, plus many chips, tears, creases, and the front cover is loose. The pages have some light soiling, some edge/corner wear, but the text is clean. Photographs are on smoother paper and are in good condition. the page binding is in good condition. Overall, a good reading copy.
