San Francisco: Arion Press, 1998. Limited Edition. One of 300 numbered copies specially bound and signed by the illustrator, this being copy no.90. Square quarto (26.25cm); black cloth boards and black goatskin backstrip, with titles stamped in red on spine, and laser-cut wood veneers mounted to covers; black endpapers; [ii],[6],761,[7]pp, illustrated with 21 monoprints by Mel Kendrick. A Fine copy.

An attractive fine press production of Williams's series of improvisational writings - one a day, for a whole year - originally published in Boston by the Four Seas Company in 1920. It contains a 3pp introduction by Lawrence Kart, a reproduction of the original frontispiece by Stuart Davis, and new illustrations by American visual artist Mel Kendrick (b.1949), best known for his abstract three-dimensional sculptures.
